Red Dawn (2011)

Red Dawn is the remake of the 1984 Charlie Sheen/Patrick Swayze film of the same name. The 2011 remake stars Chris Hemsworth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan and involves an invasion of the continental United States by an enemy force.

The following weapons appear in the remake of the film Red Dawn:

AKM (Modified to resemble AK-103)

The standard assault rifle of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF) in the film appears to be the AKM, visually modified with the addition of plastic furniture and AK-74-style muzzle brakes to resemble the AK-103. This is an error since the Chinese no longer have any Kalashnikov-style rifles (including the Norinco Type 56 and Norinco Type 81) in frontline service, but currently use Norinco QBZ-95 and QBZ-03 rifles.

DSC: The soldiers in the movie might be rear-guard troops, in which case they'd probably have second-hand weapons.
