The following guns were used in the film True Believer:
Colt Police Positive
Colt Police Positive revolvers are the issued sidearms of all the prison guards at Cold Mountain Penitentiary.
Exposed Hammer Double Barreled Shotgun
A 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun with exposed hammers is used several times in the film, seen in the hands of several of the men in Klaus Detterick's (William Sadler) search party, as well as himself. It is also seen used by Warden Hal Moores (James Cromwell) when he holds it on Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) and his men when they bring John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) to his house, before Coffey takes the shotgun away.
Hammerless Double Barreled Shotgun
A hammerless 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is used by County Sheriff McGee (Brian Libby) and other members of the search party. McGee holds his shotgun to John Coffey's (Michael Clarke Duncan) throat when he finds him craddling the bloody corpses of Kathe Detterick (Evanne Drucker) and Cora Detterick (Bailey Drucker).
Winchester Model 12
Winchester Model 12 shotguns are used by the prison guards at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Brutus "Brutal" Howell (David Morse) and Harry Terwilliger (Jeffrey DeMunn) also bring these shotguns with them when they take John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) to Warden Hal Moores' (James Cromwell) house to cure his wife of a malignant brain tumor.
Winchester 1894
Winchester 1894 rifles are used by the prison guards at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) takes one of these rifles with him when taking John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) to Warden Hal Moores' (James Cromwell) house.
Winchester 1897
One of the search party members points a Winchester 1897 shotgun at John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan).
Winchester 1890
One of the search party members is seen armed with a Winchester 1890 "slide-action" pump .22RF. If he had known he was hunting someone down as big as John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), he might have upped the caliber a bit.
Single Barrel Shotgun
A search party member is seen armed with a 12 Gauge Single Barreled Shotgun.
Single Shot Rifle
One of the search party members is seen armed with a Single Shot rifle of unknown make and model.
Single Shot Youth Rifle
Klaus Detterick's (William Sadler) son Howie Detterick (Paula Malcomson) uses a small youth single shot .22 rifle.
