Background

Ken Takakura is a huge star in Japan. He is called the Clint Eastwood of the East. He became famous for starring in the Yakuza movie genre. Much like Eastwood did with Westerns and Cop movies.According to IMDB he has been in 156 movies.He is retired now, but is an accomplished swordsman and is skilled in other martial arts as well. He has starred in four Hollywood productions: The Yakuza, Black Rain, Too Late the Hero, Mr. Baseball.
