== Missing a Shotgun ==
I remember in the scene where they set up an ambush at Elvis and the Old Man is the first to draw his shotgun from inside his coat. Someone should add it to the Shotgun category if they can idetify it.

M14

Isn't that an M1A in the picture? It looks like it was manufactured without a selector switch. The M14 has one above the trigger. It is visible in the pictures of the M14 on the Wikipedia page[1] (including pictures from Operation Iraqi Freedom.) Even if the weapons had their full automatic capability deactivated, there would still be a noticeable hole where the selector switch had been. Axeman 04:18, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

My thoughts

To be honest, I didn't think this movie was that bad. Seriously, this movie wasn't as all the negative reviews and the fact it got 5 razzie awards for worst movie of all time in 1997. I think it's an ok movie to watch Excalibur01 05:37, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

It isn't that bad of a movie. But I think it had the misfortune to come along at the wrong time. The economy was hopping and many people felt like times were great and were going to stay that way (ha!). People weren't in the mood for this type of story. Also Costner's star was setting and critics tend to get pretty nasty when a superstar is fading. In my opinion it's far better than the novel by David Brin.User:Jcordell 4 February 2009.

I do however do find the plot to be subpar and not very engaging. It saids nothing on how the US fell, or even how it got rebuilt at the end of the movie. The action was ok for the most of it Excalibur01
As an Oregonian, I like the way the movie portrays our neck of the woods as being the center for the resurrection of society ;) -Anonymous

Organizing firearms by type

I'm just organizing some pages. I'm not changing the text or screencaps, but I'm anal and I am grouping the firearms by type. --Jcordell 21:42, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Is it an M16 with M203 Grenade Launcher or an FAL with Grenade Launcher?

One of the Holnist soldiers is armed with what appears to be an M16 with M203 Grenade Launcher.--Jcordell 15:14, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

This appears to be an FAL pattern rifle. You can see the flash suppressor/muzzle brake; it is much longer then the M16s. You can also see the FAL-pattern magazine. Also, there is no gas-block mounted front sight, but I can make out the FAL's front sight mounted at the front of the forward stock. If you examine it closely, I believe an experienced eye will notice these features as well. An M203 can be mounted to an FAL (the M203P1 model), and I assume a Cobray could be as well.SAWGunner89 04:14, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

So opinions. It could be an FN FAL. Opinions? --Jcordell 15:14, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

I would say use Escape from LA as a referance but it does look like a FAL.Rockwolf66 15:24, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
