The Manchurian Candidate is the 2004 remake of John Frankenheimer's classic political thriller of the same name. Like in the original, the plot centers around a decorated Army soldier who is part of a powerful political family and the possibility that he may have been brainwashed into committing an unspeakable act.
The following weapons were used in The Manchurian Candidate:
WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!
M60 Machine Gun
Both Bennett Marco (Denzel Washington) and Raymond Shaw (Liev Schreiber) are seen firing the M60 machine gun mounted on a humvee during the Desert Storm ambush.
M16A2
Marco and several of his men are seen carrying M16A2 rifles during the Desert Storm battle.
M72 LAW
Marco is seen taking out a enemy combatant who was about to fire an M72 LAW.
Heckler & Koch MP5
The Heckler & Koch MP5 is seen in the hands of the men riding in the helicopter that tosses gas grenades onto Marco's position during the ambush.
Walther PPK
Rosie (Kimberly Elise) is seen pulling a Walther PPK on Marco when he tries to strangle her.
Remington 700PSS
Near the end of the film, Marco is seen assembling a Remington 700PSS rifle fitted with a scope and suppressor.
Glock 23
Marco is also seen pulling out a Glock 23 near the end of the film.
-Looks a bit small for a 23 to me, looked like a small frame, 26 maybe.
M1911A1
Rosie is seen pulling her M1911A1 near the end of the film.
