Jonah Hex is a 2010 supernatural Western action film starring Josh Brolin as a scarred bounty hunter trying to stop a vengeful ex-Confederate general-turned terrorist from destroying the U.S. with a stolen "superweapon."
Pistols
Single Action Army Cavalry
Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) carries two Single Action Army Cavalry revolvers as his main sidearms. Lilah (Megan Fox) also uses dual Single Action Army revolvers.
Remington 1866 Derringer
Lilah (Megan Fox) keeps a Remington 1866 Derringer in her room for protection. She uses it to get rid of an obsessed john, who later sneaks it from its hiding place and fires it at her. Missing once, he puts it to her head and fires again, but she informs him that it is a single-shot weapon as she stabs him with a knife.

Union soldiers who confront Jonah are seen carrying the Spencer 1860 Carbine.

The Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" is seen in the hands of both Jonah Hex and Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich).

Hex also carries dual Gatling Guns on the saddles of his horse.
Pistol Crossbows
Two pistol-gripped crossbows are given to Jonah Hex as well. The crossbows are magazine fed and shoot sticks of dynamite.
Flame Thrower
Jonah also is seen using a flame thrower as well.
Revolving Cannons
The "superweapon" that is the focus of the film's action is a belt-fed Gatling-style cannon (similar to an oversized, clunkier AEGIS system) supposedly invented by Eli Whitney (the father of the cotton gin). The weapon is designed to blanket an area with a volley of explosive shells, which are then detonated simultaneously by firing a glowing orange "trigger" shell from the central barrell. Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich) mounts the weapon on an ironclad and plans to use it to level Washington, D.C.
Wall of Guns
When Jonah visits Smith (Lance Reddick), the guns displayed in his secret workshop include:
- Remington 1858 Cattleman's Carbine;
- Colt Model 1855 Revolving Rifle;
- the previously-used Gatling guns;
- and some very steampunk-looking rifles
