Revision as of 06:40, 15 December 2010
Originally, the Smith & Wesson Model 13 was an unofficial designation for the 'Airweight' Aircrewman, an alloy framed version of the Model 10 purchased by the US Military for use by air crews. This revolver was later deemed unsatisfactory and removed from service, with all but a handful subsequently crushed for scrap. The later Smith & Wesson Model 13-1, along with it's further revisions, is a .357 Magnum version of the Model 10.
The Smith & Wesson Model 13 has been used by the following actors:
Films
- James Preston Rogers as Terry Genest in Jesse Stone: Sea Change (2007)
- Jodie Foster as FBI Agent Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs
- FBI Agent Arthur Kressler (William Forsythe) in Dead Bang
- Maury Chaykin as Burt Klane in Twins
- Billy (Greg Bryk) in A History of Violence
- Garret Dillahunt as Deputy Wendell in No Country for Old Men
