The AEK series of assault rifle appears in the following:
Russian assault rifle designed by Sergey Koksharov in 1974. The AEK-971 is based on previous AK rifles in internal design and layout, but is also equipped with an AO-38 type balanced automatic recoil system to reduce recoil and increase accuracy. Chambered for the 5.45x39mm round. AEK-972 chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, AEK-973 chambered in 7.62x39mm.
