Police Story is a 1985 Hong Kong action movie directed by and starring Jackie Chan as Detective Chen Ka-kui. Chan would reprise this role in three sequels: Police Story 2, Police Story 3: Supercop, and Police Story 4: First Strike, and would "reboot" the franchise in a more serious tone with 2004's, New Police Story. Many of the amazing action sequences in this film would later be copied in such action films as Bad Boys II and Tango & Cash.
The following weapons were used in the film Police Story:
Smith & Wesson Model 10
A drug dealer is seen firing a Model 10 in the opening shootout in the slums. Apparently, RHKPF Detective Chen Ka-kui's (Jackie Chan) sidearm later changes to a Model 10 snubnose, when he is framed for murdering one of his corrupt fellow officers.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Detective Chen Ka-kui (Jackie Chan) and other detectives fire their sidearms, the Smith & Wesson Model 36 throughout the film.
Colt Python
A drug dealer fires a 6-inch barreled Colt Python at the police detectives during the opening shootout.
Smith & Wesson 39
The Smith & Wesson 39 is used by gangsters in the opening shootout.
Browning Hi-Power
Browning Hi-Powers are seen kept in the holsters of Detective Chen's senior officers.
