Correction: The gun is a period authentic pre-1924 1911 not a 1911A1. Compare the 1911A1 pictured below with the gun in the film image. On the movie gun, note the lack of a curved mainspring housing and lack of a trigger finger cut on the frame. Also, the grip saftey spur is shorter than on the A1 while the actual trigger itself is longer. This is a rare case of Hollywood getting something right. | Correction: The gun is a period authentic pre-1924 1911 not a 1911A1. Compare the 1911A1 pictured below with the gun in the film image. The following guns were used in the film The Mummy:
Colt M1911A1
In the beginning of the film, Rick O'Connell (Brendon Fraser), among other weapons, uses two Colt M1911A1s to battle the Arabs. Rick also uses a M1911A1 later in the film, most notably preparing it on the boat to Hamunaptra. Also one of the American treasure hunters, Mr. Burns, using a Colt M1911A1.
Winchester Model 1897
Rick O'Connell (Brendon Fraser) uses a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun throughout the film, later given to Ardeth Bay (Oded Fehr) to hold off the the mummys slaves.
Mauser C96
Many of the Medjai who attack the boat to Hamunaptra are armed with dual Mauser C96s.
Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873
Rick O'Connell (Brendon Fraser) uses a pair of Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 revolvers throughout the film.He often wields them akimbo style and has an unique way of loading them by spinning the cylinders.
Maybe if the ejector rod has been pulled back and the loading gate is open, all he has to do is to point the loading gate downwards, using the force of gravity and cylinder spinning to make sure all cartridges are ejected.
French Lebel Rifle
In the beginning of the film, Rick O'Connell (Brendon Fraser) and the other members of The French Foreign Legion use French Lebel Rifles. There was a problem with these rifles in the movie, normally they hold eight rounds but the ones used in this movie fired a single round then had to be reloaded after each shot. Brendon Fraser does this several times during the course of the opening scene. Though all Lebels are eight shot rifles the loading process is so slow that it is often easier to fire one round at a time.
Another possible explanation is that it was not uncommon for rifles of the period to have a magazine cut-off. The Lebel is so equipped (as is the Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III, Springfield M1903, and Krag-Jorgenson rifles and carbines). Furthermore, the soldiers of the time were typically trained to chamber individual rounds during the bulk of the fighting, utilizing this magazine cutoff, and maintaining the magazine as a reserve of ammunition. This would have been exceptionally useful on a Lebel, as was pointed out before, it is not an easy rifle to load under pressure.
Colt New Service
Beny uses a Colt New Service, while Mr. Daniels (Cory Johnson) carries and uses two of the revolvers.
Colt Single Action Army
Mr. Henderson (Stephen Dunham) uses a Colt Single Action Army.
Mauser Rifle
The Arabs attacking The French Foreign Legion in the beginning of the film are seen using a variety of different manufactured Mauser rifles from different countries. Visible are some M1903 Turkish Mauser and some (anachronistic) M1938 and M38/46 Short Rifles. Some of the Arab Horsemen are seen holding Mauser Karabiner 98 (98K) rifles, which is clearly anachronistic, since the 98Ks were not developed until 1935, but it might be the older WWI version.
Lewis Machine Gun
Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) uses a Lewis gun mounted on an airplane to shoot at the face of the sandstorm that Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) creates. When the airplane crashes, Ardeth Bey (Oded Fehr) unmounts the gun, and uses it against Imhotep's mummified priests in Hamunaptra.
Lee-Enfield No.1 MkIII*
The Lee-Enfield rifle was extensively used in the film in the hands of British soldiers, the Arabs attacking the French Foreign Legion in the beginning of the film, and in the hands of the Medjai.
Webley Mk.V
Burns uses a Webley Mk V revolver.
Remington Model 95 Double Derringer
Jonathan uses a Remington Model 95 Double Derringer.
Dynamite stick
Rick O 'Connell (Brendan Fraser) can be seen using the sticks of dynamite in a few battles.
Unidentified revolver
The Prison Warden(Omid Djalili) pulls out a unidentified revolver during the brief standoff with the Americans in Hamunaptra.
