The Lanchester Mk. I submachine gun was a British copy of the German MP-28. It saw some service in the early years of World War II, mostly used by Home Guard and Naval units, but most land British forces used either Lend Lease Thompsons or Sten Guns.
The Lanchester Mk.1 was seen in the following:

- Background Extra as Oceanian Soldier in 1984 (aka Nineteen Eighty-Four) (1984)
- Chow Yun-Fat as the killer in The Peace Hotel (1995)

- Secondary British SMG in multiplayer only Call of Duty: World at War (DS)
