Starship Troopers

Morita Mk1 Rifle

The Morita rifle is used by Rico and all the other Mobile Infantry soldiers with the Morita Carbine being carried by fleet pilots and officers. The weapons themselves are built around the Ruger Mini-14/AC-556 rifles with with an underslung Ithaca 37 shotgun doubling as a grenade launcher. Both the Morita rifle and carbine utilise a modified Muzzelite MZ-14 bullpup stock to house the Ruger Mini-14/AC-556 rifles and the Ithaca 37 shotguns (for the Morita rifle only).
