Note the charging handle on Jim Brown's weapon indicating it is an M3 as opposed to an M3A1

M1 Garand

Carried by various members of the "Dozen" during the movie, especially Telly Savallas as Maggot while on guard duty the night of the party, and by various unit members during the war games and, of course, by Colonel Green's men.

MG42

Used by Clint Walker while supporting the main assault on the chateau. The weapon in the movie appears to have been supplied with a 50 round drum magazine.

Karabiner 98k

Standard German infantry rifle of the war. Used by the chateau's guards during the attack. One guard has a sniper scope on his weapon which (when the camera cuts to a "through the scope view") seems to have an infra-red capability (a red view) which is unlikely since such a scope (at that date) would have been extremely bulky and heavy.

Mk II Hand Grenade

Carried by members of the "Dozen" during the attack. Plays an especially prominent role in the finale when sacks of them are dumped down the ventilation pipes (along with gasoline) and are detonated by Jim Brown one after the other.
