Later in that same episode Jack examines Pavel's rifle and realizes that this is the same man and sniper rifle from three hours prior. Jack calls it a Springfield M-1A Rifle firing the .308Win round, implying that Tokarev's M14 started life as a plain M1A before being customized specifically for his own needs.

Jack is seen checking a [[M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System|M26 MASS]] with a rear iron sight attached but no forward iron sights when he collects weapons and equipment from Jim Ricker. Bauer also uses it in episode 22 "1:00 P.M - 2:00 P.M. to smash the bulletproof glass on Charles Logan's limousine by repeatedly hitting the same spot-probably using Quadrangle Buckshot rounds, as not only is the round shape and soft lead of (even jacketed) Buckshot notably nonpenetrative on armoured targets, but Quadrangle Buckshot would be way to best do it-the only other reasonable alternatives we can cancel out- 1) Steel or Lead or Alloy slugs would have left a much more concentrated hole and-2) FRAG-12 explosive rounds would have been very noticeable(aswell as quite dangerous to all involved, considering it was a Non-Lethal Extraction mission plan).
