Dawn of the Dead

M1911A1

Remington 870

Kenneth (Ving Rhames) uses a police issue Remington 870 shotgun fitted with a Surefire flashlight attachment on the foregrip as his signature weapon. He uses it for most of the film until the survivors go to rescue Nicole (Lindy Booth). He loses the weapon when it runs out of ammunition and a zombie grabs it out of his hand.

Beretta Inox

Andre (Mekhi Phifer) uses a Beretta Inox as his weapon. This pistol is also used by other characters, mainly CJ (Michael Kelly) when he clears out the metropolis area of the mall of any zombies.

Smith & Wesson Model 27

One of the mall's security guards, CJ (Michael Kelly) is seen with a Smith & Wesson Model 27 .357 Magnum when we first see him. Later in the film, a struggle ensues between the survivors that are currently in the mall and the former security guards on whether or not to let more survivors into the mall with CJ threatening to kill everyone to stay alive, but when he is distracted, the survivors disarm both CJ and Bart (Michael Barry). The revolver is then mainly used by Michael (Jake Weber) for the rest of the film.

Terry (Kevin Zegers) uses a Smith and Wesson model 13 throughout the film. Bart (Michael Barry) can also be seen with a Smith and Wesson model 13 revolver before it is taken from him by the other survivors.

Mossberg Cruiser

One of the survivors, Tucker (Boyd Banks) has a Mossberg Cruiser with a pistol grip. This weapon is also used by Micheal (Jake Weber) and CJ (Michael Kelly).

Tucker's shotgun switched brands several times during the movie. In all the static shots it was a Mossberg Cruiser ....but during firing shots, it was switched for a short Remington 870 as the close up below shows.

(Edit) You can't identify a shotgun via the barrel. Barrels are easily changed between models ie the Mossy 500 and the 590 etc. You need to look at the receiver of the shotgun in question ie the loading/ejection port/bolt/rivets/pins/trigger guard/safety etc etc etc. Come on, guys, this is basic stuff. The shotgun used in that truck scene is a plain old pistol grip Mossberg 500 with an 18.5" barrel. The one used in that gunshop scene in the second pic is a shorty Remington 870. Tucker's shotgun switched back and forth from a Mossberg 500 to an 870 continually. There is nothing even close to an Ithaca 37 in that movie. The Ithaca 37 is a bottom ejecting pump....the ones used in the film all clearly had ejection ports.

Remington 700

The owner of the gun store across the street, Andy (Bruce Bohne) has an Remington 700 rifle with a folding bipod which he uses to play Hollywood Squares with the other survivors stranded in the mall on the other side of the street in which Kenneth (Ving Rhames) shows Andy a celebrity's name on a dry erase board, and Andy puts a bullet in the zombie look-a-like's head. Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose

Norma (Jayne Eastwood) uses a silver Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose. Later when Norma dies, Ana ((Sarah Polley)) uses this weapon to kill a zombified baby, and it is also seen when the survivors go to rescue Nicole (Lindy Booth) at Andy's (Bruce Bohne) gun store.

Heckler & Koch USP

When Kenneth (Ving Rhames), CJ (Michael Kelly), Terry (Kevin Zegers), and Michael (Jake Weber) enter Andy's (Bruce Bohne) gun store to rescue Nicole (Lindy Booth), they find an unloaded H&K USP laying on the bloody floor, this is presumebly the gun Andy was using before he was bitten and infected by a zombie.

Remington 870 Police Magnum

After the survivors rescue Nicole (Lindy Booth) and load up at the gun store, Kenneth (Ving Rhames) packs a Remington 870 Police Magnum shotgun fitted with a magazine extension tube and ghost ring sights, and uses it while the remaining survivors make their escape out of Milwaukee. Kenneth most notably uses this shotgun when he blows the top half of a zombified Andy's (Bruce Bohne) head off.

Glock 21

After the survivors load up at the gun store, several Glock 21s are seen afterwards. CJ (Michael Kelly) hands a pair to a wounded Tucker (Boyd Banks) to fight off the zombies chasing them in the sewers while they make their way back to the mall, CJ also uses one of these pistols as his back up weapon, and uses it to to explode a propane tank and sacrifice himself at the docks so that the zombies can't reach the remaining survivors, and the last Glock 21 we see is the one Michael (Jake Weber) uses to commit suicide after we learn he was bitten and infected while the other survivors sail away on Steve's (Ty Burrell) boat.

(NOTE: CJ ACTUALLY USED A G22 OR POSSIBLY A G23. You can see when he drops the magazine, it says ".40S&W". However, it is a 10 rd limit so you can not distinguish the model GLOCK.)

[12 JUL 2008: CORRECTION - The magazine that drops from CJ's Glock is indeed a 10 rounder, but it does not say .40S&W, it says ".45". If you have the DVD, pause it on that scene and you'll see it. This would also be consistent with being used in a G21]

All Service Model Glocks (17, 20, 21, 22, 31 & 37) all have a 15 round mag capacity.

[12 JUL 2008: The above mag capacities are not exact (assuming reference to standard Glock High-Cap magazines, and not with the +2 floorplate). The G17 in 9mm = 17 rounds (the G19 in 9mm would have 15 rounds), the G21 in .45ACP = 13 rounds. The G37 in .45GAP only holds 10 rounds.]

Ruger SP-101

While the survivors make their escape out of Milwaukee, Ana (Sarah Polley) uses a Ruger SP-101 to put a bullet into the head of a zombified Steve (Ty Burrell).
