I think this belongs here
- I'd say its a Smith & Wesson Model 627. - Gunmaster45
- Did the Smith & Wesson Model 627 come with the option of a 6 round cylinder? The picture shows an 8 round revolver, and this one is a 6 round. - Diego Wolfwood
Nah check the picture where he's not gripping it tight, the grip is that of a Rossi, the specific model unknown by me. It's definitely not a Smith though. ~Yournamehere
- I've been looking around a lot and I agree that this revolver is definitely a Rossi. Pictures of Rossi's aren't very common on the internet, so I had a hard time narrowing down a model name. It looks a lot like the Rossi Model 462 or possibly a Model 712/718. The Model 972 looks close too. The Model 718 is (from what I've read) a .38 special with 4" barrels, but I'm not sure if that is exclusive or not. Knowing what caliber the revolver is would help to narrow down the possibilities. I've narrowed down a lot because a lot of models are 5 shots, not 6. If it's .357, I'm almost positive it's a Rossi Model 462. If it's a .38 special, and the Model 718's have differnet barrel lengths, I'd have to say it's the Model 718. - Diego Wolfwood
- Uh Guys, I don't think it's a Rossi Model 462 (check out the pic below) Note the ejector lever and ejector shroud and front sight ~MoviePropMaster2008

- I noticed that, but I found pictures that had different ejector levers and sights (from what I remember) and none of the other models match it as well. Finding information on this company is kind of hard...I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just saying I can't find a better gun to fit the profile. Unless the revolver in this movie is a .38, and the model 718 comes in a 2" barrel, then I'd say it's a model 718. - Diego Wolfwood
- The front sight of the weapon in Christian Slater's hand definitely looks different from the picture of Rossie, but I can't see any difference in the ejector shroud or lever. -Anonymous

- So the 462 is the Snub variant of the 971?24.98.218.14

Model 66
Could it be a Smith & Wesson Model 66 with black rubber grips?
