The following firearms are used in HBO's Deadwood:
Wild Bill Hickock (Keith Carradine) carries a matched pair of ivory handled Colt Navy revolvers until his death.
Colt 1860 Army
Carried by Ellsworth (Jim Beaver), most notably when he chases Francis Wollcott (Garret Dillahunt) from the Garret mine.
Colt 1873 Single Action Army
Carried by many characters on the show, including Calamity Jane (Robin Weigart), Dan Dority (W. Earl Brown), Charlie Udder (Dayton Callie) and Jack McCall (Garret Dillahunt), who famously uses his to shoot Wild Bill Hickock in the back of the head.
Colt 1877 Lightning Shopkeeper
Carried by Sol Star (John Hawkes) in Episode 14 after his Colt Thuer proves useless.
Colt Thuer Derringer
Carried by Sol Star in Episode 13, later used by Trixie (Paula Malcolmson) to wound George Hearst in Episode 35.
Remington Derringer
Used most notably by Maddie (Alice Kridge) to unsuccessfully threaten Francis Wollcott (Garret Dillahunt) in Episode 18, and occassionally by Powers Boothe as Cy Tolliver.
Remington 1875
Carried by Timothy Olyphant as Seth Bullock throughout the series.
Smith & Wesson Schofield
Kept in a nightstand by Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) and briefly seen in the first episode.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Various double-barreled shotguns with many barrel lengths are seen throughout the series in the hands of various characters.
Could this be something like a Mitchell's "Cowboy Action" Stagecoach Double Barrel Shotgun? http://www.mauser.org/shotguns/stagecoach/
(Compare the grip of the gun held by Calamity Jane with the pics of the Mauser website.)
No, the Mitchell's Mausers (EXTREMELY disreputable company, by the way) shotgun has a pointed pistol grip, whereas the one on the show is rounded. I actually have an old Westley-Richards with a similar grip.
Winchester Model 1873
Carried by many characters, both rifle and carbine versions, most notably Charlie Udder's rifle in Episode 8 and Ellsworth's carbine in Episode 13.
