In Ghost in the Shell, Togusa carries a fictional [[Mateba|Mateba model 6 Unica]] 2008M, which closely imitates the Italian-made Mateba Autorevolver. Its form resembles a conventional revolver cylinder and barrel mounted on the mechanism and grip upside-down, firing from the bottom chamber and reloading by hinging the cylinder upward and to the left.  It should be noted that the film's subtitles incorrectly translate Mateba as Matever.

The following guns were used in this feature length anime movie.

CZN-M22

Motoko Kusanagi carries a fictional Crvena Zastava Nosle M22 submachinegun is chambered in the 5.7x28mm SS190 round, which is conceptually based on the FN P90, except that the magazine is in a more traditional loading of all bullpup design instead of the top loading system of the P90. The case in which she carries the weapon contains accessories including a silencer, a bayonet, a sling and an under barrel grenade launcher.

The lower receiver resembles much like F2000. That standard kit includes a sling, a bayonet, a silencer suppressor and 40mm grenade launcher which replaces the foregrip.

CZ 100

Motoko and the other members of Section Nine carry CZ 100 handguns. However, this is only loosely based on the real CZ 100, as the sides of the slide are clearly depicted as vertical, while the real gun's slide has slanted sides. She also refers to it as a Zastava, conflating the CZ acronym of the former Yugoslavian gun making firm Crvena Zastava with the CZ of the real gun's manufacturer, Ceska Zbrojovka Uhersky Brod.

Mateba Revolver

In Ghost in the Shell, Togusa carries a fictional Mateba 2008M, which closely imitates the Italian-made Mateba Autorevolver. Its form resembles a conventional revolver cylinder and barrel mounted on the mechanism and grip upside-down, firing from the bottom chamber and reloading by hinging the cylinder upward and to the left. It should be noted that the film's subtitles incorrectly translate Mateba as Matever.

Batou comments that the high-velocity ammunition ruined the breech and the barrel in the man's gun. "Well, the breech and the barrel are really screwed up. That's what happens when you use HV bullets in one of these things."

Steyr SPP

The diplomat's bodyguards who fire at police officers are armed with Steyr SPPs modified for fully automatic fire attached to briefcase frames that drop clear at the press of a button.
