In the episode "Raising Shane", a robber uses a Smith & Wesson Model 36 to rob a bar and then fatally shoot the bartender, the whole time impersonating Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper). Shane himself uses the revolver to kill the robber and then brandishes it several times in confrontations with Mac and Messer, ultimately being talked into surrendering the weapon when Messer is able to prove that his brother was indeed guilty of his crime. In the episode "Cold Reveal", a grief-stricken relative of one of Clay Dobson (Joseph Lawrence)'s victims pulls a Model 36 on Mac when it's believed Mac murdered Dobson while trying to arrest him, but Mac is able to disarm him without a shot being fired when the man is overcome by grief and collapses.
