Sorry if i bothered you, but it's best if the pictures have descriptions like in other articles. I play this game, but i can't get in-game screenshots because i am a "weapon skin whore" and have all my guns replaced with skins. I don't know the weapons in-game names, just the real-life ones. - Flying Dane

I'm going to start adding screenshots in a short while. It's no bother at all :)

If the Berettas are .40s, shouldn't they be called "Beretta 96G Elite II"?--141.165.143.210 23:25, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

  • they should, but the hud shows 9mm. Which indicates 92g elite II.

keep in mind that counter strike guns arent realistic, for example, the IMI galil is suposed to fire 5,56; but the skin shown is for a 7,62 one.

One Question

Do you hate FPS games when none of the enemies you killed drop ammo for you to pick up or that you can't take their weapons?? --unsigned

Yes. TVTropes has a page on that you might find interesting. --MattyDienhoff 15:10, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Inverted Weapons ? / M4 reloading animation

Hi, is it just me, or do all the weapons appear inverted for some reason (unless you switch you orientation to left handed). Is there a reason for this? Also, I haven't had much hands on experience with an M4, but why does it show the gun being cocked by the forward assist? Does that even work in real life, why not just pull the charging handle?

Valve doesn't do anything realistic about most of their guns, they aren't a valid source for information on guns since they either
a. Don't know any better
b. Too lazy to make it more realistic.
For example if Counter Strike was any realistic at all, the Desert Eagle/Night Hawk wouldn't have such a massiv amount of fans or be acknowlegded at being the best gun in the game.--194.182.87.97 23:25, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
CS was an independent third-party mod to HL. Creators of it made weapons appear in this way because:
-Thought it looked better (but they included lefty option for a reason)
-Copyright reasons (note weapon names also)
Later Valve bought the rights when they saw its huge popularity.
