Strange Days is the 1995 science-fiction action film starring Ralph Fiennes as former cop who, on the eve of the beginning of the 21st century, uncovers a possible murder conspiracy while selling the ultimate sensory experience to those who want it. The film was directed by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) from a screenplay by James Cameron (Avatar).
The following guns were used in the movie Strange Days:
Colt Python
A Colt Python can be seen in the initial scenes in the hands of some robbers.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
A shop owner in the streets of L.A brandishes what seems to be an Heckler &Koch MP5A3
Beretta 92 FS
A Beretta 92FS can be seen first in the hands of one on Philo's (Michael Wincott) men. The gun is later struggled away by Mace
Beretta Inox
The Beretta Inox can be seen in the hands of some police officers in the final scenes.
Glock 23
A Glock 23, probably a 2nd generation, is the gun carried by Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) throughout the movie. The gun is identified as a Glock 23 by Max Peltier (Tom Sizemore) in the final scenes.
Glock 17
A Glock, possibly 17. Used by Lenny Nero after he finds out his home was broken into. (Earlier ID'd as the 23, but the gun seems too long to be the 23. Also, as seen below, it appears to have a 17-round magazine that, from the best view, appears to be loaded with 9mm. Speculation: Home defense back-up to his Glock 23 carry gun?)
Mossberg 500 Mariner
The Mariner can be briefly seen in the hands of Mace when she uses it to pop the trunk of the car.
- First shot doesn't seem to be a Mariner, that finish looks blued. Also we need a better screenshot to determine whether it is a Winchester or Mossberg. Most definitely NOT a Remington, since the ejection port is too squared. The 2nd two pics looks like some sort of marine/mariner model. MoviePropMaster2008 18:43, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
M16
M16 rifles can be seen in the hands of soldiers throughout the movie.
Sig Sauer P226
A Sig Sauer P226 can be seen in the hands of Mace when Nero and her are attacked.
Smith & Wesson 4506
The 4506, probably a 1st generation, is the gun carried by Engelman (William Fichtner). However, in the final scenes it seems that his gun was switched for a Smith & Wesson 5906. For the gun is picked up by Mace, this would seem a wise choice, since the 4506 would look way too big in Mace's hands. However, in the screenshot where Mace picks up the S&W, it seems to be a different model. Not sure which one.
- It is still a 4506 but the bulges are on the side with the squared trigger model, even though it isn't a double stack.
OA-93
The OA-93 is used by Engelman (William Fichtner) when he and Steckler (Vincent D'Onofrio) chase Nero (Ralph Fiennes) and Mace.
Browning M2
A Browning M2 Machine Gun can be briefly seen in the final scenes of the movies.
M1911A1
Max Peltier (Tom Sizemore) uses an M1911A1 in the final scenes of the movie. The same gun can be seen in the hands of a police officer.
Unidentified pistol
This gun is carried by Steckler (Vincent D'Onofrio). Not sure what it is, possibly a Taurus PT915?
- Could be a Smith&Wesson 59 series pistol...
I think that's definitely a Smith & Wesson automatic
Unidentified pistol
This gun can be briefly seen in the hands of a robber in the initial scenes

Unidentified pistol
This pistol is used by Mace in the second half of the movie. Not sure what it is.
- Appears to be a two-tone Walther P5 with a nickel frame.
This Gun is definitely a Sphinx AT 380 (chamberd in 380 auto) a swiss made gun from the early ninties!
Unidentified AK-47 variant
Another shop owner brandishing an unidentified AK-47 variant.
Unidentified Revolver
A tow-truck driver aims an unidentified revolver to Nero when towing his car.
