The Missing is a 2003 Western starring Cate Blanchett as a single mother living in 19th century New Mexico whose daughter is kidnapped by renegade Apaches. Tommy Lee Jones plays the estranged father Samuel, who, after living among the Apaches, reunites with his daughter in order to accompany her on the search. The film was directed by Ron Howard (Ransom).
