Back to the Future Part II (1989)

Smith & Wesson Model 60

The Biff Tanner (Thomas F. Wilson) in the alternate 1985, pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 60 in .357 Magnum with a 2" barrel on Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) after explaining how he came to be so rich. Worth noting, Biff killed Marty's Father with this revolver. "Two McFlys with the Same Gun" he says. This weapon is something of an anachronism; he shot McFly's father with this revolver in an alternate 1973, this gun was only available in .38 Special until the mid-90's, when the .357 Model 60 came to market. He fires it at Marty in his suite, but doesn't get a chance to finish the job, however, as Marty jumps off the roof of the building and Biff is then knocked unconscious with the door of the DeLorean when he goes to see what happened.

  • Note: At the time this movie was made (1989) the Model 60 was only available in .38 spl. What biff is holding is a .38 spl., either a S&W Model 36 with a nickel finish, or a 2 1/8" S&W Model 60 in .38 spl.
