The following weapons appear in the 2007 first-person shooter game Medal of Honor: Airborne
M1911A1
The M1911A1 is the main sidearm available to the player throughout the game. Upgrades give it a quick draw holster to switch weapons with the pistol faster, a match trigger to improve rate of fire which allows you to fire the pistol as fast as you can tap the fire button, and lastly, "Magnum" rounds for increased fire power.
Mauser C96
The Mauser C96 is available only as a choice in the final "Der Flakturm" level. Upgrades include a shoulder stock to reduce recoil and 20 round magazines. The 3rd and final weapon upgrade eventually turns the C96 into the 712 model with full automatic capability. It should be noted that it is underpowered in the game, takng 5 rounds to the torso to take out an enemy. This is in contrast to its rounds (7.63x25mm mauser) real world ballistics, only slightly less powerful than a Tokarev TT-33 Pistol (7.62x25mm tokarev), a pistol known to be a good stopper, and even more so for its incredible penetration, which the c96 also exhibited.
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is one of the selectable weapons throughout the game. Upgrades give it a match barrel, adjustable sights, and lastly the M7 grenade launcher.
M7 Rifle Grenade
The M7 Rifle Grenade was fitted on the M1 Garand and the M1903A4 Springfield throughout the game.
M1903 Springfield
The main sniper rifle for "Travers". Upgrades give it an improved bolt for ejecting spent cartridges faster, stripper clips, and finally a grenade launcher. This should make the weapon the 1903A4 version used as a sniper weapon during the entire war by US troops.
Karabiner 98k
The main infantry weapon in the earlier stages of the game. Upgrades give it a match bolt for ejecting spent cartridges faster, stripper clips for faster reloading, and a "cup" grenade launcher.
Gewehr 43
Available midway through the game. This box fed semi-automatic rifle the Germans produced from 1943 on receives upgrades which give it a larger magazine capacity, a variable powered telescopic sight, and a cup style grenade launcher.
Browning Automatic Rifle
Given the date this weapon becomes available in the game (post Market-Garden)this is the 1918A2 model. The upgrades include a muzzle brake to reduce recoil, adjustable sights, and dual magazines taped together "jungle-style".
Sturmgewehr 44
Finds its' way into the later stages of the game the first "storm gun" (which became assault rifle) eventually replaces the MP40, Karabiner 98k and Gewehr 43 in the hands of German troops. Upgrades give it a muzzle brake, a tactical scope and dual magazines.
Winchester Model 1912
This weapon's upgrades give it increased accuracy and fire rate when using the iron sights, more stopping power, and a bayonet mounted under the muzzle.
Thompson Submachine Gun
One of the first weapons available in the game is the M1928 Thompson, upgrades include vertical foregrip, Cutts compensator, and 50 round drum magazines. Note: The fully upgraded Thompson is a 1921 model because it empties a 50 round drum in 2 1\2 seconds.
MP40
The ubiquitous German weapon of WWII. The upgrades give a dual magazines taped "jungle-style", a 64 round magazine, and a dagger for more effective melee attacks(though the dagger isn't even attached to the weapon itself.)
MG42
Available only as an emplaced weapon in the game. This weapon is also seen in the hands of the fictional "Storm Elite" soldiers with a drum magazine and carrying handle.
M18 Recoilless Rifle
One of the anachronistic weapons in this game. Although the M18 recoilless rifle was developed towards the end of WWII it would not have been ready in time for the Normandy invasion (the only time it is openly available in the game). The upgrades give it a variable powered scope and increased ammo capacity.
- Is also a "hidden" weapon during the "Der Flakturm" level of the game at the top of the front right building. You must parachute into the top to get it.**
Panzerschreck
Available from the "Market-Garden" stages onward. This was an evolution of the American M9 bazooka often coming with shaped charge warheads. Available only as a pick up weapon in the game, not an optional load out weapon. Most famous for being used by the deadly Panzergrenaders, though they were fictionally portrayed in the game equipped with the Panzerschreck and ONLY the Panzerschreck, along with gas masks. In real life, Panzergrenadiers wielded MP40 submachineguns Sturmgewehr 44 assault rifles, and Karabiner 98k rifles in their arsenals.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
The standard hand grenade of the Americans in the game. Eventually, with the proper weapon upgrades, you are able to launch them from the M1 Garand and the M1903 Springfield. Upgrades gives it bigger bags or satchels so the player can carry more grenades.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The standard hand grenade of the Axis forces. Upgrades gives it bigger bags or satchels so the player can carry more grenades. The grenade also becomes a war club when meleeing enemy troops.
Gammon Grenade
The Gammon Grenade appears about halfway through the game in the Market Garden level, upgrades give it larger amount that you can carry.
