Red Dawn is the 2010 remake of the 1984 film of the same name that starred Charlie Sheen and the late Patrick Swayze. In this film, the United States is invaded by the Chinese instead of the Soviets and the setting has moved from Colorado to modern day Detroit.
AKM
The standard assault rifle of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force (PLAGF) in the film appears to be the AKM, visually modified to resemble the AK-103. Despite the fact that China does not use Norinco Type 56 anymore (a Chinese copy of the Russian made AK-47), but are now deploying their new Norinco QBZ-95 bullpup rifles.
