It has to be a G3 Variant
Well, watching it again, I don't see the G3 style magazine, so it can't be any of that. [[User:Excalibur01|Excalibur01]] 14:13, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
I wouldn't consider it absurd at all to use a submachinegun as a sniper/marksman weapon, I remember seeing a documentary on the German Federal Police (or the GSG9) and they were using the MP5A3 in the same role in a helicopter. -[[User:AdAstra2009]]

Also, the buttstock looks to be a standard buttstock, due to the apparent lack of a cheek rest, which is featured on the PSG-1, MSG-90, and G3-SG1 rifles. hope this helps -24.186.223.137

Helicopter gun

Are you sure it's an MP5? The angle makes it hard to tell, but the shape of the stock is not very MP5-ish. It looks more to me like like an SR9 variant.
Maybe it's a PSG-1 or a G3?

It looks like an HK91, judging by the trigger grouping and the handguard, but that's just a guess. I wouldn't know how large the actors hands are, but he only takes up a part of it.
It appears to have two pins over the right thumb implying that--whatever else it is--it is not a 9mm or 5.56mm weapon. Additionally, the reciever is grooved, so not a PSG-1 or MSG90-series weapon. (Tweak the lighting on that clip.)
