Starsky and Hutch was a television series that ran on ABC from 1975-1979 and starred David Soul as Det. Ken 'Hutch' Hutchinson and Paul Michael Glaser as Det. Dave Starsky. The name of the show during its initial run was Starsky AND Hutch, however, later DVD and VHS releases re-titled the series Starsky & Hutch (replacing "and" with "&"), which is the name used for major motion picture remake Starsky & Hutch in 2004. The series was a rough & tumble buddy cop show that pushed the envelope of 1970s standards regarding TV violence during prime time scheduling.
