Cobra is a 1987 action film starring Sylvester Stallone as Lt. Marion "Cobra" Cobretti, who is assigned to protect a witness from a cult gang of murderers on the streets of Los Angeles. The film was directed by George Pan Cosmatos, who was coming off directing Stallone in Rambo: First Blood Part II. Sylvester Stallone adapted the screenplay based on the novel "Fair Game" by Paula Gosling. The novel would again be adapted into the 1995 film Fair Game starring William Baldwin and Cindy Crawford.

The firearm was designed primarily for police, security forces and armored vehicle crews.
