:Beats me. While you try to figure that out, I think I'm going to go ask Sean Penn why he owns an SP89 and has a conceal carry permit (in California!) when he's one of the most leftist and, presumably, anti-gun actors in Hollywood (not an easy feat in The Land, no doubt). -MT2008

::Actually, while Sean Penn is a left-winger, he is so far left wing that he actually admires and pals around with  the Castros and Hugo Chávez (I am not making this up), therefore it could be he actually really likes guns as they will allow him to caryout a 'glorious' Socialist revolution like those of his buddies. But in all seriousness, in the United States gun rights tend to be more a geographic issue rather than one relating to the political spectrum as many southern and western Democrat Polititians are pro-gun (or at least vote that way) while many north-eastern Republican politians are anti-gun.

Well why does it say Howard uses the M1911 for "murders"? He doesn't murder anyone in this movie, he shoots in self defense, the cops, especially corrupt parole officer Michael Ironside, are trying to murder ''him''. Maybe the two scumbags driving that yellow Road Runner, but one pulls a knife, these miscreants have got it coming.

Why in god's name did Drew Barymore sign up for this movie when she totally despises guns? It seems like a movie called "Guncrazy" would be one she would stay away from.
