Haunted (2002) was the short lived UPN television series where a former LAPD Police Detective Frank Taylor (Matthew Fox) dies but is then resuscitated and can now see the dead. Due to a trauma where he loses his little boy, Taylor becomes a Private Investigator who helps the police with cases and sometimes, the ghosts bring their killers to justice, or help them with unfinished business so that they can move on.
Note: For actor Matthew Fox it was fortunate that this series ended when it did, since it allowed him to star in the immensely popular show Lost.
The following guns were used in the show:
Glock 17
- The primary sidearm for Frank Taylor (Matthew Fox) is his Glock 17 pistol - 9mm. Many other characters use the Glock as well.
Beretta 92FS
- Many secondary characters carry the Beretta 92FS pistol - 9x19mm.
Smith & Wesson Model 66 with Pachmayr grips
- Used by Sanchez (Benjamín Benítez) in Nexus (Season 1, Episode 13), however, earlier in the episode he carries a Glock 17.
Laser Aim Series III 1911 pistol
- In Nexus (Season 1, Episode 13), booby trapped ammunition leads to the death of an LAPD Detective while on the pistol range. The gun used by the unlucky Det. Sgt. Peter Braddock (Scott DeFoe) was a Laser Aim M1911 Pistol - 45 acp. Laser Aim was yet another M1911 manufacturer who built ported 1911 clones with slight cosmetic differences. The unique feature of the Laser Aim was a hole cut out of the trigger guard ahead of the trigger to mount a laser. Since the production ended for this pistol, smaller lasers with better battery life have been invented.
