The following weapons can be seen in the movie The Silence of the Lambs:
Smith and Wesson model 13
This .357 magnum, 3" barrel revolver was the last issue revolver of the FBI (usually loaded with .38 spl +P .158 gr LHP ammo)
The holster used in the movie seems to be also the one that the FBI used with the S&W (note the Speedloader pouch)
but, unfortunately, someone forgot to teach Jodie Foster how to holster the gun:
The revolver used by Jodie Foster in the movie has a Pachmayr Grip adaptor (note that the bullets in the speedloader are SJHP, and not the .38 spl LSWCHP +P, used by the FBI in that era:
Browning Hi-Power
Used by a SWAT agent:
Colt Government
A deactivated Colt 1911 is used during FBI instruction
Colt Python
The gun used by "Buffalo Bill" (Ted Levine)is a 6" barreled, nickel-plated Colt Python.
Heckler & Koch MP5
A H&K MP5-K is seen in the hands of an FBI HRT member.
Sawed Off Shotgun, Likely Autoloader, Possibly Remington 1100
FBI Special Agent Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) is seen wielding a sawed-off shotgun of unidentified manufacture prior to raiding the wrong house.
- I'm thinking Browning Auto-5.-protoAuthor
Check the bottom picture. It's more than likely a Remington 870. I could be wrong.-Bad Boy
- Based on the bottom picture it does appear that it is a pump-action shotgun, not an autoloader.
