Beretta Cougar

LAPD Detective Shane Vendrell's main service pistol is a Beretta Cougar 9mm handgun.

Your mistaken, Shane uses the same gun as ronnie. I'm pretty sure it is a Beretta Cougar, but its a .45, not a 9mm.

Are you sure? the beretta 8000 series cougar is chambered in both 9mm and .45 ACP.
