Pathologic 2 (Russian: Мор; "Pestilence") is an expanded, reimagined remake of the Russian 2005 cult classic survival horror video game Pathologic (despite its name, it is not a sequel to Pathologic). Currently under development since 2014 by the developers of the original game, Ice-Pick Lodge, the game is planned to be released episodically, with each dedicated to one of the player characters. The first part, focusing on the Haruspex, was released on May 23, 2019.
A playable demo called "Pathologic: The Marble Nest" was released on December 2, 2016, featuring its own short story. A public alpha of Pathologic 2 was released on September 11, 2018.
Currently only the Haruspex's chapter is available.
Firearms have been decently changed, they now have longer and more realistic reload animations and while the first game only had lowered damage and accuracy for damaged firearms, low durability for a firearm now results in firearms jamming and needing to be unjammed.
The following weapons appear in the video game Pathologic 2:
Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver
The Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver can be seen in the 2014 debut trailer of the game.
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is available rarely, unlike the first game's rifle which only held one shot, the Karabiner 98k holds five shots and is still used by the army.
Sawed-Off Over/Under Shotgun
The Double Barreled Sawed-Off Shotgun returns from previous game, still known as the "Shotgun", but is now in the O/U configuration.
Flamethrower
Just like the first game, the Army shows up with Flamethrower troops to try to control the plague. Unlike the first game, the player cannot obtain Flamethrower fuel as a trading item since flamethrower troops are now invincible, only killable by an exploit with how lockpicks can be used as a one-use instant-kill weapon. (With them lacking a proper death animation or loot.)
