Endoparasitic VR is a virtual reality (VR) adaptation of the 2022 survival horror game Endoparasitic. Taking place in the 23rd century, the game follows Cynte, the lead scientist researching a species of alien parasite on a distant space station. When the parasite is released throughout the station, however, mass carnage ensues as most of the researchers are killed or horribly mutated. Cynte survives this, but a triad of mutants tear off three of his limbs, leaving him to maneuver and fight his way through the station with his one remaining arm. One of the game's prominent features is the way it implements reloading; lacking an offhand, Cynte must grab and feed new rounds into his weapons with his mouth.

Revolver

Confiscated from a dying guard, a generic, cartoonish revolver is Cynte's first weapon. It is seemingly chambered in 9x19mm (or a similarly proportioned rimless cartridge) and does not utilize moon clips, although this does not interfere with the extraction of spent casings. The revolver holds 6 shots per cylinder and deals low damage per shot, requiring 4 shots to kill a basic humanoid mutant, and is therefore a poor weapon for fighting tougher enemies. It remains a vital tool throughout the game, however, for its ability to dispatch mutant lab rats with a single shot.

Sawed Off Over-Under Shotgun

A generic sawed-off Over-Under shotgun is Cynte's second weapon. A powerful weapon hindered by its bulky ammunition and low capacity, the shotgun can kill a mutant human in a single blast at close range. It mostly replaces the revolver as a primary weapon once obtained and can even be used to damage multiple enemies in a single trigger-pull (assuming that they are close together). Instead of a traditional top-break lever, the shotgun (to facilitate its one-handed usage) has a revolver-like cylinder release that must be pushed forward to flick the weapon open or closed. The shotgun shells approximate .410 bore in size and scale, especially when compared to the ammunition of the next weapon the Cynte finds.

Orion Flare Gun

A 25mm Orion Flare Gun with a white barrel and blue handle is Cynte's third weapon. A true "BFG," the flare gun is (rather unrealistically) extremely powerful, firing a blue flare that bounces off walls, lighting (and piercing through) any nearby mutants within a decent radius to a crisp along the way. As a balancing factor, the flare gun's ammunition is rare and takes up a large amount of inventory space, and the gun itself can only fire one shot before reloading.

Crossbow

Cynte's final weapon is a nondescript, hand-cranked (or mouth-cranked) crossbow. It deals about as much damage as the shotgun per shot, but the lack of pellet spread means that the crossbow remains very powerful even at long range. Unlike the shotgun or revolver, however, the crossbow has significant projectile drop and can only fire one shot before reloading, although its ammunition can be reused indefinitely.
