Hearts of the World (also known as Love's Struggle) is a 1918 American silent World War I propaganda film written, produced and directed by D. W. Griffith (The Birth of a Nation). The story begins just before the beginning of the First World War in a small French village known for its idyllic atmosphere. The boy also feels obliged to fight for the country in which he lives.
