The Protégé is a 2021 action film directed by Martin Campbell and staring Maggie Q , Samuel L. Jackson , and Michael Keaton . Thirty years after Moody (Jackson ) rescued Anna (Maggie Q ) from Vietnam, an enquiry into an old hit results in his apparent death, sending Anna back to her homeland for revenge.
