The Net is a 1995 cyber mystery thriller that was directed by Irwin Winkler and starring Sandra Bullock as Angela Bennett, a reclusive computer systems analyst who has to go on the run after she finds her entire identity has been erased and someone else works at her firm under her name. The film would spawn a 1998 USA Network television series spinoff as well as The Net 2.0, a 2006 DTV sequel.

A Heckler & Koch P7M13 appears to be the weapon used by Ruth Marx, who was impersonating Angela Bennett.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
Undersecretary of Defense Michael Bergstrom (Ken Howard) commits suicide with a Smith & Wesson Model 686 early in the film.
