The Aviator is a 1985 historical drama starring Christopher Reeve as a pilot for the US Air Mail Service who finds himself stranded with a wealthy rebellious woman (Rosanna Arquette) after his plane crashes. The film was directed by George Miller (the Australian director of The Man from Snowy River, and not the Australian director of Mad Max fame). Also, the film is not to be confused with the Martin Scorsese's 2004 Howard Hughes biopic of the same name.
The following firearms were used the 1985 film The Aviator:
Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 2ND Model
Edgar Anscombe (Christopher Reeve) is seen carrying an older fixed sight Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model that he uses to hunt for food. Tillie Hansen (Rosanna Arquette) is later seen holding it.
Winchester 1866 Musket
When Edgar goes to the cabin of the Old Man (Will Hare), the man pulls the Winchester 1866 Musket.
