Downtown is a 1990 action comedy starring Anthony Edwards as a Philadelphia police officer who gets transferred from the suburbs to the roughest precinct in the city and gets partnered with a tough "Downtown" detective (Forest Whitaker) in order to take down a crime lord. The film was directed by Richard Benjamin.

Philadelphia Police Department Officer Alex Kearney (Anthony Edwards) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolver. A delusional suspect takes the revolver off an officer and threatens a young girl with it. Other uniformed officers throughout the film also use the S&W.
Ruger Speed Six
Detective Dennis Curren (Forest Whitaker) carries an Ruger Speed Six revolver as his sidearm throughout the film. A memorable scene is where he uses it to shoot Alex's radio while in a hospital bed.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Detective Luisa Diaz (Wanda De Jesus) uses a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 66 during the precinct shootout.
Colt Detective Special (3rd Generation)
Alex also is seen carrying a 3rd Generation Colt Detective Special.

Philadelphia officers are armed with an Ithaca 37 shotgun during the precinct shootout and the final confrontation.

Detective Dennis Curren (Forest Whitaker) is also seen holding a Mossberg 500AT shotgun with a sawed-off stock when he pretends to hold Kearney hostage.
12 Gauge Sawed Off Over/Under Shotgun
The crime lord White (Joe Pantoliano) pulls a Over/Under shotgun while driving.

Uzi
Some of the suspects who shoot it out with police in the precinct are armed with full-size Uzis. Some of the thugs at the dock also carry the Uzi.
