Ambulance is a 2022 American action film directed and produced by Michael Bay . Based on the 2005 Danish film of the same name by Laurits Munch-Petersen and Lars Andreas Pedersen, Ambulance stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as William Sharp, a war veteran, who is forced to rob a Federal Bank along with his adoptive brother Daniel (Jake Gyllenhaal ) in order to pay for his wife's operation. During the robbery the brothers wound a police officer, forcing them to steal an ambulance with an EMT as the FBI and the LAPD follow in pursuit.
