Unidentified Revolver # 1

Seen only in the scene after the failed drive-by shooting. The gun is seen hanging from the door of the crashed car, and is picked up by William 'D-Fens' Foster. The weapon is not given much screen time, which leads to the conclusion that it could be a .38 revolver of some sort.

Colt M1911A1

A Colt M1911A1 is used in the final scenes in which William 'D-Fens' Foster pursues his family and subsequently gets shot by Detective Martin Prendergast (Robert Duvall). The gun was most likely obtained from the "gun bag" of the latin gang.

Unidentified revolver # 2

This unidentified (possibly .38 police revolver) is picked up by Detective Martin Prendergrast from his wounded partner. It is used by the detective to shoot William 'D-Fens' Foster.

It's quite plainly a S&W Model 19 .357 revolver with 2.5 in. barrel.

Unidentified revolver # 3

The service revolver of Detective Martin Prendergrast. He hands it over at the beginning of the movie since it is his last day of work. The few shots that the revolver is in doesn't give a clear stance for identification, though. Presumed to be a police .38 revolver, though.

Prendergast's gun was a S&W Model 15 .38 cal revolver with 4 inch barrel.
