The IWI Carmel is an Israeli assault rifle manufactured by Israel Weapon Industries. It utilizes short-stroke gas operation and an adjustable gas regulator for different conditions, such as suppressor use. The barrel is quick-detachable, with proposed barrel lengths between 10.5 inches (27 centimeters) to 20 inches (41 centimeters). The Carmel also features fully ambidextrous controls. While released for civilian sales in 2022, the Carmel is likely intended for primarily export sales to the military and police forces of other nations.
