The PPSh-40 - Pistolét-Pulemyót Shpitalniy 1940. A prototype of a submachine gun, built by Boris Shpitalniy for the competition to find a successor to the PPD-40. It was built and put up for testing under the name OKB-15. OKB-15 can be translated as "Special Design Office No. 15".
