Belly is a 1998 crime drama directed by Hype Williams. It depicts the life of two close friends, Buns (DMX) and Sincere (Nas) who are criminals but later come to spiritual awakening, each by his own way.
The following weapons were used in the film Belly:
In one scene Buns (DMX) owns what appears to be Smith & Wesson Model 629 revolver. He doesn't hold this gun on screen.
Smith & Wesson Model 642
A Smith & Wesson Model 642 is used by Wise (Stan Drayton) during the confrontation in the restaurant. Later same looking revolver is seen in hands of Sincere's barber Born (Az) after it was drawn to cover Sincere after Sincere was shot in the thigh by Black (Jay Black) during the shootout outside of the barber shop.
Colt Python
What appears to be a Colt Python is hold by a NYPD officer during the arrest of Buns.
Charter Arms Off Duty
A stainless Charter Arms Off Duty with pearl grips is seen during the opening credits as Tommy Brown aka Buns (DMX) narrates in the form of a spoken word poem.
Unidentified Revolver
A snub nose revolver is briefly seen in hands of Big's (Tyrin Turner) henchman during the shootout at the strip club.
Pistols
Glock 17
Glock 17s with stainless slides and suppressors are used by Buns (DMX), Sincere (Nas), and Mark (Hassan Johnson) during the night club heist at the beginning of the film. The Glocks with the stainless slides and suppressors appear to be that of Gen 2 Glocks. Regular Glock 17s are used by numerous other characters throughout the movie, including the NYPD officers and FBI agents.
Desert Eagle Mark I
Shameek (Method Man) uses a pair of stainless .357 Magnum Desert Eagle Mark I pistols during the shootout at the strip club. Mark (Hassan Johnson) fires a Desert Eagle during the ATF raid on his hideout in Omaha.
Smith & Wesson 5946
A Smith & Wesson 5946 pistol fitted with a suppressor is seen in hands of a hitman who is Buns (DMX) in disguise as a Jamaican beggar that pretends to beg for money before carrying out the hit on Sosa in Jamaica. Same looking pistols are also used by Big's and Shameek's henchmen.
Smith & Wesson 5906
A Smith & Wesson 5906 pistol is used by Sincere (Nas) to defend himself against Black (Jay Black) who tried to exact revenge by starting with shooting Sincere in the thigh and caused the shootout outside of the barber shop.
SIG-Sauer P228
SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series pistols appear in several scenes. All they are supposedly a single movie prop. One screenshot allows to guess the pistol to be double stack, and the trigger guard is rounded rather than stepped so it is most likely a SIG-Sauer P228. Black (Jay Black) draws one of these on Sincere (Nas) and tries to exact revenge on Sincere first for the humiliation in the basement 6 years prior, but Sincere tries to prevent Black from shooting Sincere and is shot in the thigh.
A Detonics Pocket 9 pistol is seen during the opening credits. Possibly the same gun is toted by Buns (DMX) who fires warning shots into the floor of Mark's (Hassan Johnson) grandmother's basement during his confrontation with Black (Jay Black).
Jennings J-22
A Jennings J-22 pistol is seen during the opening credits. The same pistol is seen in hands of Shorty (Eric Keith McNeil).
Raven Arms MP-25
A Raven Arms MP-25 pistol is seen during the opening credits. The same pistol is seen in hands of Tionne (Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins).
An ATF agent holds a Remington 870 shotgun with rifle sights, extended magazine tube and weaponlight during the raid in Omaha.
Ithaca 37
A bartender fires a pistol-gripped Ithaca 37 shotgun during the shootout at the strip club.
Assault Rifles
Custom Norinco Type 56-1
Jamaican drug lord Lennox (Louie Rankin) uses a nickel-plated Norinco Type 56-1 with fake ivory furniture and AKM-style slant compensator during the shootout at his mansion. The customized Norinco Type 56-1 was supplied by Weapons Specialists, Ltd.
Norinco Type 56
Standard Norinco Type 56s, fitted with red dot sights, are used by Jamaicans during the attack on Lennox's mansion. Some of them are fitted with AK-74-style muzzle brakes.
Ruger Mini-14 in Muzzelite stock
At least one of the attackers is armed with a Muzzelite MZ14 Bullpup with red dot sight.
