Revolvers

Nagant M1895

A Nagant M1895 revolver is carried by Yuri Ismaylov (Nikola Duricko) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”. It is later used by Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) in the same episode.

Nagant M1895 Revolver - 7.62x38R Nagant.

Smith & Wesson Model 19

The Smith & Wesson Model 19 is carried by Chief Calvin Powell (Rob Morgan), Officer Phil Callahan (John Paul Reynolds) and Officer Glenn Daniels (Jeff Sprauve) of the Hawkins Police Department throughout the season. It also seems to be carried by officers with the Lenora Hills Police Department in "Chapter Two: Vecna's Curse".

Smith & Wesson Model 19 Combat Magnum - .357 Magnum

Colt Python

A Colt Python is purchased by Jason Carver (Mason Dye) at War Zone Army Navy Surplus in “Chapter Eight: Papa”. He refers to it as a ‘pretty .357’. He is later seen using it in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Colt Python Stainless Steel variant with 6" Barrel and Colt marked rubber combat grips - .357 Magnum

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is carried by Harmon (Ira Amyx) and Wallace (Kendrick Cross), FBI Agents loyal to Dr. Sam Owens (Paul Reiser), in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”.

**In reality, FBI Agents in 1986 would have carried either the Smith & Wesson Model 13 or the Smith & Wesson Model 459.**

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Beretta 92FS - 9x19mm

Makarov PM

The Makarov PM is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards, including Dmitri Antonov (Tom Wlaschiha). Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) are also seen using them in “Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab” and “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Makarov PM - 9x18mm Makarov

Colt M1911

The Colt M1911 is carried by various Military Police officers at Hawkins National Laboratory in flashbacks to the 1970’s. Military Police officers loyal to Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) are seen with holstered 1911's whilst guarding the NINA Facility. A suppressed variant is also used by a US Army operative under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Colt M1911A1 - .45 ACP

Shotguns

Winchester Model 1200

A Winchester Model 1200 with a ribbed field barrel is purchased by Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”. She later saws down the barrel for use in close quarter combat in "Chapter Nine: The Piggyback".

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

Double Barrelled Shotgun

A Double Barreled Shotgun is briefly seen being handled by a War Zone Army Navy Surplus clerk in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

1960s Era Commercial Stevens hammerless side by side shotgun - 12 gauge

Cobray Street Sweeper

A SWD Cobray Street Sweeper is one of many weapons seen on display at War Zone Army Navy Surplus clerk in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
SWD/Cobray Street Sweeper with 18 inch barrel - 12 gauge. Because all legally owned Street Sweepers in the United States are "destructive devices," very few remain in this configuration as there is no law governing the required barrel length of a DD.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5K (Mock MP5K-PDW)

Multiple Heckler & Koch MP5Ks with PDW stocks attached are also used by Military Police officers loyal to Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) at the NINA Facility in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

**Since the season takes place in 1986 this is considered anachronistic since the MP5K-PDW variant was not developed until 1991.**

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Heckler & Koch MP5K with the PDW-style folding stock attached, commonly used in films to emulate the MP5K-PDW - 9x19mm

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

A Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is carried by the lead Military Police officer (Jason Vail) loyal to Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) at the NINA Facility in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with original "slimline" forearm - 9x19mm

Rifles/Carbines

AKMSU

The AKMSU is seen carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Custom AK pistol converted into a Krinkov with a full auto lower and Krinkov kit - 7.62x39mm

AK-47

The AK-47 is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season. While the AK-74 had replaced it long ago in standard Russian service, it could be explained as being retained by rear-line prison guards for whom the latest and greatest is not needed. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) arm themselves with AK-47’s in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.

This is the commercial clone of the original Type III AK-47 and is the most used in American films and shows - 7.62x39mm.

AKM

The AKM is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is seen using one in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.

Original M16 - 5.56x45mm - the first model, firing in a 20-round magazine, adopted in large numbers by the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. This has the original 3-prong flash-hider. It would later be replaced by the upgraded M16A1.

Colt M16A1

A Colt M16A1 with a M203 grenade launcher mounted on an anachronistic quad picatinny rail handguard, along with a large muzzle flash hider device and fitted with a flashlight attachment on top of the fixed carry handle rear sight is carried by a US Army soldier under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.

A Heckler & Koch HK33A3 is briefly seen being carried by a US Army soldier under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) after he is shot by FBI Agent Harmon (Ira Amyx) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”. **Although the HK33 was only briefly issued to US Border Patrol not the US Army, its appearance can possibly be justified as the soldiers under Sullivan are implied to be working as part of an unofficial black-ops mission.**

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
HK33A3 Rifle with telescoping stock - 5.56x45mm.

Springfield M1A

A scoped Springfield M1A rifle in a woodland camouflage fibreglass stock is used by a US Army sniper under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”. The rifle maybe likely be replicated in trying to stand in as the M21 Designated Marksman Rifle Sniper Weapon System, but upon closer inspection reveals a lack of fire/safety selector a M14 and M21 would have during the reload scene.
