Revolvers
Nagant M1895
A Nagant M1895 revolver is carried by Yuri Ismaylov (Nikola Duricko) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”. He is later disarmed of it by Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) in the same episode.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
The Smith & Wesson Model 19 is carried by Chief Calvin Powell (Rob Morgan), Officer Phil Callahan (John Paul Reynolds) and Officer Glenn Daniels (Jeff Sprauve) of the Hawkins Police Department throughout the season. It also seems to be carried by officers with the Lenora Hills Police Department in "Chapter Two: Vecna's Curse".
Colt Python
A Colt Python is purchased by Jason Carver (Mason Dye) at War Zone Army Navy Surplus in “Chapter Eight: Papa”. He refers to it as a ‘pretty .357’. He is later seen using it in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is carried by FBI Agents Harmon (Ira Amyx) and Williams (Kendrick Cross) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”. In reality, FBI Agents in 1986 would have carried either the Smith & Wesson Model 13, Smith & Wesson Model 459 or the SIG-Sauer P228.
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards, including Dmitri Antonov (Tom Wlaschiha). Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) are also seen using them in “Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab” and “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Colt M1911
The Colt M1911 is carried by various MP’s at Hawkins National Laboratory in flashbacks to the 1970’s. A suppressed variant is also used by a US Army operative under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1200
A Winchester Model 1200 with a ribbed field barrel is purchased by Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”. She later saws down the barrel for use in close quarter combat in "Chapter Nine: The Piggyback".
Double Barrelled Shotgun
A Double Barreled Shotgun is briefly seen being handled by a War Zone Army Navy Surplus clerk in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Cobray Street Sweeper
A SWD Cobray Street Sweeper is one of many weapons seen on display at War Zone Army Navy Surplus clerk in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K (Mock MP5K-PDW)
Multiple Heckler & Koch MP5Ks with PDW stocks attached are also used by Military Police officers loyal to Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) at the NINA Facility in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
**Since the season takes place in 1986 this is considered anachronistic since the MP5K-PDW variant was not developed until 1991.**
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
A Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is carried by a Military Police officer loyal to Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) at the NINA Facility in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Rifles/Carbines
AKMSU
The AKMSU is seen carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season.
AK-47
The AK-47 is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season. This is anachronistic for Soviet soldiers to carry an outdated version of the AK rifle in 1985 as the AK-74 was adopted as the standard rifle. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) arm themselves with AK-47’s in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.
AKM
The AKM is carried by various Soviet Army soldiers and prison guards throughout the season. Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is seen using one in “Chapter Nine: The Piggyback”.
Heckler & Koch G3
A Heckler & Koch G3 is briefly seen being carried by a US Army soldier under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Four: Dear Billy”. Several G3’s are seen on display in War Zone Army Navy Surplus in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
**Although the US Army has never used the G3, its appearance can possibly be justified as the soldiers under Sullivan are implied to be working as part of an unofficial black-ops mission.**
Colt M16A1
A Colt M16A1 with a M203 grenade launcher mounted on an anachronistic quad picatinny rail handguard, along with a large muzzle flash hider device and fitted with a flashlight attachment on top of the fixed carry handle rear sight is carried by a US Army soldier under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Colt M16A2
The Colt M16A2 is seen used by various US Army soldiers under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in "Chapter Four: Dear Billy" and “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Galil AR
What appears to be a Galil AR is briefly seen being carried by a customer at War Zone Army Navy Surplus in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
M14
A scoped M14 sniper rifle is used by a US Army sniper under the command of Lt. Colonel Jack Sullivan (Sherman Augustus) in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
Other
ROKS-2 Flamethrower
A Soviet ROKS-2 Flamethrower is used by Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) in “Chapter Nine: Piggyback”.
A large variety of shotguns and semi-automatic rifles are seen in display at the War Zone Army Navy Surplus store in “Chapter Eight: Papa”.
