At 1:31:40 there's a closeup of the underside of one of the "muzzleloaders."  It looks like one of the late 1960s Spanish break action single shot .410s with a wooden shell and fake hammer. :Thanks a lot, this is interesting and sheds light on the "strange behavior" of these guns. I will try to watch the movie again and add a screenshot of this moment.
