Company of Heroes 2 is the successor to the 2006 real-time strategy video game Company of Heroes. Like its predecessor, the game is set in World War II, but this time with a focus on the Eastern Front during the German-Soviet War. The computer game was developed by Relic Entertainment until the bankruptcy of the original publisher THQ and is distributed by Sega since June 25, 2013.
The Western Front Armies add-on was released on June 24, 2014. The multiplayer expansion is standalone and runs without the full version. The focus is again on the battlefield of the first part (Western Front in France), the main focus of the expansion is the Battle of the Bulge and the March on Paris. The game is expanded by the two new factions U.S. Forces and the Oberkommando West.
At Gamescom 2014, the standalone add-on Ardennes Assault was presented, which has been available since November 8, 2014. The non-linear campaign over 18 missions is set on the side of the United States Army against the backdrop of the Battle of the Bulge at the turn of the year 1944/45.
The last multiplayer add-on called The British Forces released in September 2015, brought in the namesake British fraction.
The following weapons appear in the video game Company of Heroes 2:
