East West 101 is a critically acclaimed and award winning Australian drama series airing on the SBS network. The series is set around the Major Crime Squad in metropolitan Sydney, Australia.
The following guns were used in the first series of East West 101:
Hand Guns
The Glock 22 is the standard NSW Police Force issue sidearm and used by the cast during the series.
Assault Rifles
A number of 'Colt' carbines are used instead of actual M4's by Tactical Operations Unit officers.
At least one M16A2 'style' rifle is carried by one tactical officer with an unknown scope. Putting the distinctive A2 handguards on the older rifle was a method used by Movie/TV armorers to simulate A2 rifles when M16A1s were the only ones available.
Submachine Guns
Several MP5's are used by TOU officers.
Shotguns
Unknown Double-Barrell Shotgun An unknown double-barrell shotgun is used by 'Talal' towards the end of The Enemy Within during a standoff with Police.
Both the Remington 870 and the Benelli M3 Super 90 are used by members of the Tactical Operations Unit in episode 1 during the raid on two premises.
Rifles
Use by at least one of the TOU snipers towards the final standoff with 'Tala" in The Enemy Within.
