The following weapons were used in the TV Series Homicide: Life on the Street:
Glock 17
The standard issue to most of the officers and detectives in the Baltimore Police Department is a Glock 17, which at the time was standard issue in real life. BPD officers now use Glock 22s. In the episode "Fallen Heroes", Junior Bunk takes a detective's Glock from his desk and uses it to kill three police officers in the Homicide Squadroom. Colt Detective Special
Lt. Giardello and Sgt. Howard both use nickel first generation Colt Detective Specials. Most of the other detectives use third generation models as their backup weapons. The detectives most notably fire their Colt's to kill Junior Bunk during the Homicide squadroom shootout in the episode "Fallen Heroes".
Remington 870
Several Remington 870s are used by the Homicide Unit in the episode "Fallen Heroes".
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
BPD QRT officers are seen using Heckler & Koch MP5A3s in the earlier episodes, most notably in "The City that Bleeds".
Heckler & Koch MP5K
In later episodes, the Heckler & Koch MP5K is the standard weapon for the BPD QRT Unit.
Beretta 92FS Inox
A Beretta 92FS Inox is identified as the murder weapon in the episode "Saigon Rose".
Heckler & Koch PSG1
In the episode "Sniper", the first sniper uses a Heckler & Koch PSG1 to kill his victims.
M14 Rifle
In the episode "Sniper", the second sniper uses an M14 Rifle, fitted with a scope, to kill his victims.
IMI Desert Eagle
Junior Bunk uses a chrome IMI Desert Eagle to shoot at BPD Homicide Detectives in the episode "Blood Ties".
Remington 1866 Derringer
A Remington 1866 Derringer is identified as the murder weapon in the episode "Justice".
